Join Our Team as an Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Finance team in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and vendor payments. This role is critical to maintaining financial accuracy, strong internal controls, and smooth operations within our fast-paced Fresh Foods manufacturing environment.

About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will oversee daily invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and support month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Perform three-way matching between Purchase Orders, Receiving Documents, and Invoices
• Ensure proper authorization and approval of invoices prior to payment
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in partnership with internal teams and vendors
• Prepare and process weekly payment batches (checks, ACH, or electronic payments)
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor account records
• Support month-end closing activities, including preparing invoice accruals
• Maintain organized documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 1–3 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial document processing (invoices, POs, receiving documents)
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable and accountable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Salary Range

• Compensation: Hourly rate $22- $25 based on experience.
