HR Assistant needed for a long term assignment in Voorhees, NJ
Mid January through Mid September
$25./hr - $28./hr
M-F 8-4:30 or 8:30-5pm with 30 min lunch.

The HR Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative, support, and clerical duties essential to the Human Resources department, with a primary focus on recruitment, employee records, benefits, and general HR support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Onboarding & Recruitment Support
- Manage the New Hire Process: Coordinate the initial hiring steps, including scheduling pre-employment screenings (drug test, physical, background checks, references).
- Conduct New Employee Orientation: Facilitate the HR portion of orientation, manage paperwork, enter data into HR/Payroll systems (HRIS), and create employee ID badges.
- Maintain Applicant Records: Update the Applicant Tracking System, forward applications to hiring managers, and ensure retention compliance.
- Legal Compliance: Timely verify and process I-9 forms using E-Verify.
- Recruitment Assistance: Support the recruitment process, including attending job fairs as requested.
2. Employee Data & Records Management
- HRIS Management: Accurately enter and maintain all new employee data and process changes/terminations in the HRIS. Conduct periodic audits for data integrity.
- Employee Files: Create, maintain, and file all employee documents and ensure files are complete within legal/policy timeframes.
- Records Retention: Manage the organization and retention of all HR records.
- Reporting: Generate various employee data reports for HR leadership and other managers/directors.
3. Benefits, Payroll & Leave Administration
- Benefits Support: Assist with new hire and ongoing benefits enrollment and process monthly invoices. Must understand benefit plans and COBRA regulations.
- Leave Management: Track and manage FMLA, PLOA, and other leaves of absence, including providing necessary legal and company notices.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist with payroll processing, data entry, corrections, and resolving basic employee payroll questions. HRIS System: Paycom a plus!
- Workers' Comp: Assist with filing injury reports, tracking employees on modified duty, and monitoring injury trends.
4. General HR & Administrative Support
- Employee Relations Support: Process Unemployment requests, Verification of Employment requests, and coordinate Fact-Finding/Appeal Hearings.
- Performance Management: Prepare and distribute new hire and annual performance reviews and track completion.
- Communication: Handle phone calls, incoming/outgoing mail, and respond to internal/external information requests promptly.
- Compliance: Maintain employee bulletin boards with current Federal, State, and Local postings.
- Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical tasks, schedule meetings, and assist the HR Director with special projects (e.g., research, surveys).
Job Requirements & Professional Expectations
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources (healthcare experience preferred).
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and an outgoing, customer-service-focused attitude. Knowledge of employment law is helpful.
- Professionalism: Maintain professional appearance and conduct, adhere to all company policies (including HIPAA and Corporate Compliance), and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
