Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll/Benefits Specialist to support a growing, multi-entity organization based in Marlton, NJ. This full-time, onsite role reports directly to the CFO and plays a critical role in payroll processing, core human resources functions, and related accounting support. The ideal candidate brings hands-on payroll experience, strong HR fundamentals, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-company environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Accounting Support

  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 15–20 entities using an HRIS/payroll platform
  • Import and reconcile payroll data from POS systems
  • Prepare and post weekly payroll journal entries in QuickBooks
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing

Human Resources Operations

  • Support day-to-day HR functions including employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance
  • Assist with 401(k) compliance and coordination
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records across HR and payroll systems
  • Support onboarding, policy administration, and HR documentation

Policies & Process Improvement

  • Assist with the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure HR practices align with employment laws and internal standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR and payroll processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
  • Payroll processing experience required
  • Industry experience in restaurant or hospitality strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of payroll-related accounting and journal entries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
  • Experience with iSolved or similar HRIS/payroll systems a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Marlton, NJ. Not a remote position.
