Senior HR Generalist

The Senior HR Generalist will report into the VP of Legal/HR and is responsible for leading the development and execution of the human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes talent management, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and payroll processing. The Senior HR Generalist acts as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team and provides guidance on HR best practices to support a positive company culture and align with business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Help develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Company's mission, values and goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify human capital priorities and develop effective solutions.

Talent Management:

  • Lead and manage recruitment, onboarding/termination, and retention. strategies/processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for key roles.

Performance and Employee Relations:

  • Manage performance review and goal setting processes.
  • Develop and maintain positive employee relations and foster a culture that supports growth and retention.
  • Address employee relations issues, questions and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Lead annual open enrollment for benefits and be point person for benefits inquiries, including life events with PEO.
  • Coordinate with PEO on market assessments to ensure pay structures remain competitive.
  • Oversee PEO processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations including but not limited to fair labor standards act.

Policy and Compliance:

  • Enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Ensure HR practices support an equitable, inclusive and diverse work environment.
  • Consult with VP on legal requirements and best practices related to HR and identify areas of opportunity for policy and handbook enhancements and legal updates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and multiple state employment laws, and manage reporting and audits as needed.
  • Ensure employee documentation is maintained and organized in Google Drive and PEO portal.
  • Coordinate training, coaching and professional development programs.

HR Operations Management:

  • Oversee the management of PEO systems and ensure data integrity.
  • Process biweekly payroll with PEO
  • Update metrics (KPI’s) and dashboards to measure HR effectiveness and impact.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in HR, ideally in a manufacturing, fast-paced and remote work environment.

  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can identify priorities, move projects forward, and solve problems with minimal direction
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
  • Occasional travel to other locations (Millville and Moorestown NJ) may be required.
  • In office and on location required 3-5 days a week (Millville, NJ) with opportunity to work remotely depending on business needs.
