Minimum Education & Experience:
- Ability to build and sustain relationships as well as collaborate with campus and community partners.
- Working knowledge of student development theory, appreciative advising model, and other student-centered approaches.
- Ability to motivate students toward success and achievement of goals.
- Capacity to work independently and to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to process/analyze complex information and effectively communicate it to students, parents, and/or administrators.
- Strong knowledge of student support programs and ability to make proper referrals based on comprehensive assessments.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow through with assisting students.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work evening and weekends as required
- Ability to use personal computer and other office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field preferred. Experience using emerging technologies and social media to communicate to undergraduates preferred.
Equipment Utilized:
MS Office, internet, computer competency in reading and evaluating spreadsheets, databases, student information systems, and other computer-based platforms including EAB and Qualtrics. Incumbent may use social media tools to communicate with students and other constituents.
