On behalf of Nemours Children’s Health System, I am very pleased to share that Mark Mumford has been selected as our new Chief Executive of Delaware Valley Operations. He will be responsible for all clinical and academic operations at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and Nemours duPont Pediatrics, including ambulatory surgery centers and all primary, specialty, and urgent care practices. He will also oversee prevention efforts in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

Mark was selected after a national search that drew many highly qualified candidates. He joins us from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. A multifaceted and visionary leader, Mark is deeply committed to the welfare of all children and has great experience helping complex organizations accomplish strategic and operational objectives.

We are extremely grateful to Dr. Jay Greenspan for serving as interim CEO since August of last year. Jay did a superb job of advancing our mission and seeing the organization through a challenging time. He will continue to serve Nemours by leading our COVID-19 response across our enterprise.

Mark’s first day in this role is September 1 and he will be based at the Nemours duPont Hospital for Children. We look forward to introducing him to you this fall.
