MARLTON, N.J., Aug. 13, 2021 – Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter will honor three local champions in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease during its 20th Annual South Jersey Golf Classic golf tournament. Golfers and other guests will ply the links Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at Laurel Laurel Creek Country Club in Mount Laurel, N.J. To attend the evening cocktail hour, click here.
Charles C. Bratton, II, of the Bratton Law Group; George Hager; and Jim Rogers of Haefele, Flanagan & Co will be honored for their philanthropic efforts to support the mission of creating a world without Alzheimer’s disease. Mr. Rogers will accept the award in honor of his late colleague, Thomas Fee.
“These honorees have all gone to bat to help the elderly in so many ways and to keep the drive for a cure going strong. We are so privileged to recognize their advocacy at our 20th anniversary golf tournament and celebration,” said Kristina Fransel, executive director of Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter. “It’s also wonderful that we are able to posthumously honor Thomas Fee’s longtime association with the Association.”
Charles Bratton is a founding member of Bratton Law, LLC, a Haddonfield, N.J., elder law firm. Bratton and the firm have long supported Alzheimer Association events including the Southern N.J. Shore Walk to End Alzheimer’s, South Jersey Golf Classic and other Chapter events, conferences and symposiums. Some of the firm’s employees are also trained Alzheimer’s community educators.
George Hager is former CEO of Genesis HealthCare. He has supported both the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and South Jersey Golf Classic, and has served as a longtime board member for the Delaware Valley Chapter. To date, Hager has raised more than $60,000 to support the Association’s mission.
Jim Rogers, partner in Haefele Flanagan, has been involved with the Alzheimer’s Association for more than 25 years. Both he and Thomas Fee, late managing partner, lost loved ones to the disease, and when they learned that more than half of their then-20 employees had a close relative affected by Alzheimer’s, they became a fundraising partner to the Association. To date, Haefele Flanagan has raised more than $500,000, more than any other company of its size, and has inspired many other businesses to get involved.
The 2021 Spring Golf Classic will feature a Shotgun format, and includes brunch, cocktails, and a silent auction. Non-golfers are invited to attend the evening cocktail hour/dinner and participate in networking and silent and live auctions for just $50.
