American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery Program Reactivated
American Cancer Society’s Road To Recovery program has been reactivated after having been suspended during the pandemic.
Volunteers are needed for the American Cancer Society’s Road To Recovery program! What’s often standing between people with cancer and lifesaving treatment is a ride to get there. Road To Recovery provides your neighbors with cancer with free rides to and from their treatment appointments. This Uber-esque service is flexible, easy to use, and directly impacts cancer patients in your community. If you have weekday daytime availability, a valid drivers license, an insured vehicle,* consider donating your time and passenger seat to a neighbor in need. Connect with us at cancer.org/drive or 1-800-227-2345 to learn more about Road To Recovery volunteer opportunities in South Jersey.
*Volunteer eligibility also determined by driving record, criminal record, and ability to pass brief training course
