We are excited to share that the Leading Light Wind project has been awarded an offshore wind contract by the state of New Jersey. 

A partnership between American companies Invenergy and co-developer energyRe, the project is now the largest competitively awarded offshore wind project in the US. New Jersey’s selection of this American-led project is a tremendous step forward for the domestic offshore wind industry.

Once operational, the project will deliver 2,400 MW of clean energy, enough to power more than 1 million homes. With this award, Leading Light Wind will bring major economic investment to New Jersey, creating an estimated 7,500 jobs and over $3.7 billion in economic development benefits for the state. The award will also allow Leading Light Wind to implement its $150 million community benefits program.
