Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery Provided 300 Meals to Local Hospice Families
Mount Laurel, NJ – Samaritan donors and volunteers continued their yearly tradition of giving in 2021, hosting their 21st annual Thanksgiving meal delivery, Giving Thanks Preserving Memories on Saturday, November 20. This year, Samaritan was able to supply 300 meals to 75 hospice families throughout the local community.
Giving Thanks Preserving Memories is an annual event that provides families with the gift of spending time together and preserving memories instead of preparing and cooking on what could be their last holiday together. To help ensure the health and safety of all participants, Samaritan staff and volunteers carefully packaged each meal delivery bag, which included turkey and side dishes from F&M Caterers, sparkling cider, handmade table runners and other holiday decorations, and provided the packages to families through contactless pick-up and/or delivery.
This year’s project was made possible through the generous support of many sponsors and donors including Special Friends of Samaritan, Berry Basket Quilters, Cherry Hill West Dynamics of Health Care Class, Daisy Troop 30373, SamariTeens, Sew What and Yards of Love - Nicole Hope.
