When BookSmiles started in February 2017 Founder, Larry Abrams collected and distributed 15,000 kids books, staging them in his garage and classroom. Fast forward to today...They just surpassed distributing TWO MILLION up-cycled children's books. That's 1,000 pallets of children's books saved from landfills and recycling!

Another milestone they achieved was with their Spring Matching Gift Campaign. With the help of donors, they were able to obtain a matching gift of $25,000 from an anonymous supporter with the $28,724 donations received during the months of April and May.  

Did you know? BookSmiles distributes between 70,000 and 80,000 children's books each month? The gift of your time as a volunteer is just as valuable to them as monetary gifts. They welcome individuals, students (service hours, NHS, scout requirements), families, groups and businesses.
