Boys & Girls Club Hosts Heartfelt “Clubsgiving” Celebration for Atlantic City Families
Atlantic City, N.J. – Rising food insecurity and recent SNAP reductions have made the holiday season especially challenging for many Atlantic City families. In response, the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City hosted a special “Clubsgiving” celebration -- a festive event at the Club combining community, compassion, and delicious food.
Families attending the event enjoyed music, dancing, games, and the warm spirit of togetherness that defines the Club. The culinary team from Harrah’s, led by Chef Christopher Lee, prepared 400 fresh, holiday-inspired meals for Club members and their families across all three Club locations.
Each family also received a $100 ShopRite gift card, providing both practical support and a meaningful reminder that they are valued and cared for. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey participated as well, offering information about vital resources including SNAP, GA, WIC, and school meal applications.
One parent shared a heartfelt message: “I am thankful for all that you do for my child, and I know that my child is safe and supported here.”
Donations are being accepted to continue to support these families and programs year-round. Donate at acbgc.org or contact sdangio@acbgc.org.
