Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County Welcomes New Board Member Janice Wardle!
BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GLOUCESTER COUNTY WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBER JANICE WARDLE
Glassboro, NJ, June 24, 2021 – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County is welcoming Janice Wardle into its Board of Directors. The current Board of Directors approved her nomination on Thursday, June 17th.
Dr. Janice E. Wardle has a B.S. in Business Administration, University of Delaware, MBA, Wilmington University, and a PhD. in Business Leadership with a concentration in Sports Leadership, Northcentral University Dr. Wardle is the Chair of Sports Management for Wilmington University. Dr. Wardle has over 20 years of teaching experience face to face, online and hybrid format. She has developed several online courses and concentrations in sports economics and finance at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her area of expertise is in youth sports coaching and experiential learning. Dr. Wardle has presented many workshop presentations on Experiential Learning, Preparing High School Athletes for Collegiate sports at various High Schools, Universities, and the National Sports Marketing Association annual conferences.
Dr. Wardle has worked with the Gloucester County Boys & Girls Club - Glassboro as a resident and through the Continental Societies Inc. for the last 10 years. She has served Thanksgiving meals, donated and participated in the Christmas parties, presented drug awareness programs for Red Ribbon week, donated computer headphones, read to members during African American read-in, provided the Colgate dental screenings and presented during Girls night and Teen workshops. Dr. Wardle also has over 20 years of experience coaching youth sports. Currently, she is the Head coach for the Glassboro Park & Recreation Track & Field team; President of South Jersey Track & Field Alliance; President of Continental Societies Inc. South Jersey Chapter; Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.; and a member of First United Methodist Church, Glassboro NJ.
Before Dr. Wardle’s career in academia, she was a corporate recruiter and a nurse recruiter for twelve years for major hospitals and healthcare systems. In addition, Dr. Wardle has many years of work experience in human resources. . She has two adult sons, ages 21 and 25, and is a resident of Glassboro, NJ.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to serving the youth in Gloucester County. The organization was founded in 2005 and is part of a network of 4,300 Boys & Girls Clubs, including 22 in New Jersey. Its mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. It has two Club locations in both Paulsboro and Glassboro. The organization has academic, health & wellness, financial literacy, and character-building programs to help put its Club members on a path to success.
