
Campbell’s appoints Kelly Palumbo as new SVP, controller and chief accounting officer
The Campbell Soup Company announced it appointed Kelly Palumbo as its new senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, with her role becoming effective on Sept. 22. She will succeed Stan Polomski, who is transitioning to the newly created position of senior vice president, business process optimization.
In her new capacity, Palumbo will oversee the corporate controller function, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, planning, and controls. She will report directly to Carrie Anderson, Campbell’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Palumbo joins Campbell’s with over 25 years of extensive financial leadership experience. Most recently, she served as vice president, finance, and corporate controller at Charles River Laboratories since 2023. Prior to that, she spent more than two decades at Johnson & Johnson, holding various senior finance roles, including vice president of finance, Transformation and Talent Strategy. She also held leadership positions across several of the company’s business units and manufacturing operations. Palumbo began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
An accomplished professional, Palumbo holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Villanova University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Stan Polomski, who has served as Campbell’s controller since 2007, will now focus on driving process effectiveness and efficiency in his new role, reporting to Dan Poland, the chief enterprise transformation officer.
