Inaugural Halloween at Y.A.L.E. School Car Show
Y.A.L.E. School NJ, will host the first ever Halloween at Y.A.L.E. School Car Show, presented by the South Jersey Camaro Car Club, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Y.A.L.E. School’s Ellisburg Campus in Cherry Hill (11 Connecticut Avenue). This FREE, family-friendly event will offer members of the community a safe and fun Halloween experience.
“We are excited for the opportunity to host our first ever Halloween at Y.A.L.E. School Car Show for people of all ages to enjoy,” said Noah McKay, School-to-Work Supervisor at Y.A.L.E. School and organizer of this year’s Car Show. “At Y.A.L.E. School, we are always looking for creative opportunities that bring local residents, businesses, and the Y.A.L.E. community together – and what better way than with a trunk-or-treat car show, just in time for Halloween! We planned the event to appeal to kids, teens, and adults so that everyone will have a great time.”
The event will be structured like a traditional “trunk-or-treat” – featuring a variety of Halloween-themed decorated cars, an assortment of food trucks, music, basket auction, and “Best Of” contests. Members of the South Jersey Camaro Car Club and Y.A.L.E. students will be judging the contests – with the first 40 winners receiving handmade trophies created by Y.A.L.E. students.
South Jersey Camaro Car Club is a non-profit organization with 120 members strong. The club supports many local charities and community initiatives including those for veterans, animal shelters, food pantries and the Ronald McDonald House. Linda Murphy, the club’s president, shares that, “We are not just a club, we are a family and are so pleased to be expanding that family to include Y.A.L.E. School.”
For those wishing to enter their vehicle in the Car Show, there is no pre-registration required but a $20 per car entry fee with be collected on the day of the event. Additionally, all Car Show entries are also asked to bring bags of candy to the event to hand out to event attendees. The first 100 vehicles to participate in the Car Show will also receive a dash plaque to commemorate the event.
For those who’d simply like to attend and enjoy the festivities, the event is free and open to the public. If inclement weather occurs, the event will be postponed to the following day – Sunday, October 29 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
