Investors Bank Appoints South Jersey Resident to Expand Business Banking
Jenna M. Buretta New SVP & Market Executive for Central and Southern New Jersey
SHORT HILLS, N.J. – Jenna M. Buretta, Investors Bank’s newly appointed Senior Vice President and Market Executive for Central and Southern New Jersey, started in banking while in high school – and she’s never looked back!
Buretta, who was born and raised in Gloucester County, began working as a part-time teller while she was a student at Pitman High School. “I have been in banking for nearly my whole life,” said Buretta. “I think it is important that I’ve held just about every role in retail banking, from teller to lending, customer service, and even operations.”
Now, Buretta reports to Investors Bank’s Head of Business and Government Banking, Michael MacIntyre, and is responsible for serving small- and medium-sized businesses in Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer, Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. Buretta’s role is part of Investors’ expansion of its Business and Government Banking units. Buretta will be based in Mount Laurel.
“Jenna brings nearly 20 years of experience in retail and business banking in the Southern New Jersey/Philadelphia market. She is adept at leading small business lending teams, and building and maintaining client relationships,” MacIntyre said in making the announcement. “Her ability to raise brand awareness has created demonstrable opportunities to grow, develop, and retain clients. Jenna and her team will provide an enhanced level of service to assist Investors customers in meeting their business goals.”
Buretta, now a resident of Clarksboro, is not only well-versed in banking, but also is closely connected to the local business community. “My father was a small business owner in South Jersey for 30 years, so I’ve been entrenched in the small business community in Central and Southern New Jersey. I understand the ups and downs businesses face, and their significant role in local communities. I am very passionate about the opportunity to bring that experience to our customers at Investors Bank.”
Investors Bank Senior Vice President and Retail Market Executive Victoria Magliacane is looking forward to working with Buretta and her team. “I am excited to work with Jenna,” said Magliacane. “The collaboration between her team and our branch staff will further ensure Investors’ ability to meet all of the needs of our small business customers in the Central and South Jersey markets.”
“Investors is committed to the Central and South Jersey markets,” said Buretta. “I know and understand the differences and the challenges facing an agricultural business in Gloucester or Burlington County versus a coffee shop in Lawrenceville or a bakery in Brick. Although each business has faced challenges related to the pandemic, those challenges have been different, and each recovery requires varying approaches. We understand those differences and my team’s goal is to work with our businesses to meet their needs and to help them grow for the future.”
Before joining Investors, Buretta most recently held the position of Vice President, Retail Business Banking Team Leader for the Mid-Atlantic, New Jersey, and Florida regions for the U.S. subsidiary of a global bank. “I’m a born and bred South Jersey girl,” said Buretta. “I really wanted to be working in my state and for small businesses here. I’m very passionate about it. I have deep roots here, so I wanted to be part of the expansion at Investors.”
Additionally, she previously held branch manager positions, among numerous other retail and business banking roles for large regional financial institutions.
Buretta energetically pursues a variety of interests and is an avid foodie. She has attended the Napa Valley Wine School and became a sommelier, which pairs nicely with her passion for cooking. Buretta admits to wanting to be a chef, although a love for banking and finance changed that direction, she is still very involved and interested in the local food scene. Now that she’s based in South Jersey again, she also plans to spend plenty of time in the community, but not just exploring interesting restaurants.
“As bankers, we are involved in the community. It is the culture of Investors Bank to be a part of the community and its people. I am looking forward to reconnecting with the organizations in Southern New Jersey that I have missed at my previous position. Spending time in the community is particularly important to me,” said Buretta.
Buretta has been involved with Habitat for Humanity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Junior Achievement, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She also has a deep love for animals and plans to get more involved in taking care of their needs as well. “As I transition fully back into South Jersey, I will be looking to become more actively involved with these organizations and more. I spend a lot of time in the community and I look forward to being involved with non-profits and community- and business-based organizations, such as the local chambers of commerce.”
