Voorhees, NJ – The results are in. Lions Gate Life Plan Community received outstanding marks from the New Jersey Department of Health COVID-19 Infection Control Survey. The onsite survey, completed May 19 reported zero deficiencies in Lions Gate’s ability to implement proper infection prevention and control practices to prevent the development and transmission of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and infections. The survey looked at issues such as infection control procedures, staffing levels, PPE availability and outbreak response plans -- which includes family notification.
“This is particularly good news as these have been a heartbreaking few months for our Lions Gate family,” announced Chief Executive Officer Susan Love when she received word from The New Jersey Department of Health. “ I want to commend my staff, especially those in direct contact with our residents and those in charge of our cleaning and safety for their tireless efforts to keep our Lions Gate family safe as well as thanking our residents and families who were in compliance so we could contain the virus. As we now see more light at the end of the tunnel, we are even better prepared to anticipate any challenges that may arise.”
As per the Executive Directive issued by the New Jersey Department of Health, Lions Gate conducted COVID-19 testing for all employees and residents in the healthcare center and will continue to follow this directive to ensure the Lions Gate community is well protected.
