Maurer Joins CohnReznick as Assurance Partner

New York, NY – August 2, 2021 – CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, today announced that James Maurer has joined the firm as an assurance partner in its Consumer & Industrial Industry practice. Maurer is one of several recent strategic hires in the Midwest and another example of CohnReznick expanding its leadership ranks to serve entrepreneurial, high-growth businesses.

Maurer has extensive experience in industrial manufacturing, consumer products and wholesale distribution, along with transportation and logistics. He has advised both public and private companies in key areas such as strategic planning, due diligence, and process improvement. With a focus on companies with global operations, he is skilled at managing complex, multinational issues.

Before joining CohnReznick, Maurer was the Chicago Office Consumer and Industrial Products Industry Leader and Global Leader of Consumer and Industrial Products for a major advisory, assurance, and tax firm. While there, he led multiple client engagements annually and was responsible for developing a global strategy for the practice.

Maurer earned a BS in Accounting from DePaul University and currently sits on the Dean’s Advisory Committee for Depaul’s Driehaus College of Business
