Gov. Phil Murphy and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul jointly announced the nomination of Kris Kolluri as CEO of the Gateway Development Commission. The commission’s board is expected to consider the nomination later this month.

Kolluri currently serves as president and CEO of Camden Community Partnership, a community development nonprofit. He served as commissioner of the state Department of Transportation from January 2006 until December 2008.

The Gateway program is finally moving forward, with money allocated for the Hudson River Tunnel Project. Work is also moving forward on the Portal Bridge.
