Parker McCay Attorney Becomes Burlington County’s First Female Chief Legal Officer
In her new role as Burlington County Solicitor, Ms. Buono serves as chief legal counsel to the Board of Commissioners as well as all other departments in the county. Her office reviews all county contracts and offers guidance on regulatory, financial, and transactional matters. Burlington County’s Sheriff, Clerk, and other elected officials also have access to her counsel.
Ms. Buono joined Parker McCay in 2018 focusing her practice in government and construction law. She quickly became a valued colleague and vital asset to the firm handling bids and contracts, negotiation, and litigation derived from construction projects that included arbitration, mediation, trial, and appeals.
“As a woman in the male-dominated field of construction law, Ashley has been breaking barriers throughout her career with determination and hard work. It’s no surprise to see her grow and evolve in her career to become the first female to hold the prestigious role of Burlington County Solicitor,” said Parker McCay CEO Philip Norcross. “We are proud of her achievement and wish her all the best in her new position.”
Ms. Buono earned her law degree at Widener University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from University of Pittsburgh.
Everyone at Parker McCay congratulates Ashley.
