Samaritan Promotes Two to Leadership Roles

Member Announcements

Samaritan, a not-for-profit healthcare provider offering hospice, grief support, palliative care and primary care at home, recently announced the promotion of two of its long-time employees to management positions:

  • Theresa Goldfine of Lumberton has been named director of palliative care & clinical systems
  • Amy Maricondi of Mount Laurel has been named director of business development

“These are two loyal and enormously talented women who have dedicated their careers to providing truly compassionate care,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, Samaritan president and CEO. “We are proud of the many years they have been devoted members of our team, and we are thrilled to have Theresa and Amy move into new management roles so they can continue Samaritan’s mission of service of helping patients and their families live their best life every day.”

Theresa Goldfine has worked with Samaritan since 1999, starting as a primary on-call nurse before becoming a supervisor on-call. She has also served in the roles of nurse manager, inpatient center manager and director of inpatient services. Goldfine managed The Samaritan Center at Mount Holly for many years and played a pivotal part in opening The Samaritan Center at Voorhees in 2016, after which she then served as director of both Centers. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University, an associate degree in applied science and a nursing degree from Rowan College at Burlington County.

As director of palliative care & clinical systems, Goldfine oversees Samaritan’s palliative care services – a medical-specialty practice that employs physicians, advance practice nurses, nurse care coordinators and social workers to help patients living with any serious illness at any stage a better quality of life.

Amy Maricondi first joined Samaritan as a professional relations specialist in 2011 after more than two decades working senior care, long-term care and rehabilitation facilities throughout southern New Jersey. Additionally, Maricondi volunteered for many years as a domestic violence counselor and has served in a board-member capacity for a number of local community and business organizations, such as the Voorhees Business Association, Marlton Business Association, Mount Laurel Zoning & Site Plan Review Boards, Senior Resource Alliance of Burlington County, Lenape Athletic Foundation and more. She received a bachelor’s degree in gerontology and therapeutic recreation from Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA.

As director of business development, Maricondi is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined business plan to optimize market penetration, creating new affiliations, developing new business ventures that align with Samaritan’s mission and vision and ensuring the organization’s continued success.
