Samaritan’s Annual Golf Tournament Drive FORE! A Good Cause Set for June 24, Sponsorship & Volunteer Opportunities Available

Samaritan is set to host their 2024 “Drive “FORE! A Good Cause,” the organization’s annual golf tournament presented by The Richardson Family Dealerships, on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Little Mill Country Club in Marlton. The 18-hole, scramble-format tournament will begin with registration at 10:00 a.m., a shotgun start at 11:15 a.m. and will end with a reception and awards dinner around 4:30 p.m. All proceeds from the event will support the not-for-profit’s comprehensive family of services, which benefit seriously ill patients and their families and those grieving a loss.

“Each year, we look to our annual golf tournament as an opportunity for the community to come together to show support for our patients throughout South Jersey and our organization’s commitment to providing quality, life-enhancing care,” says Phillip W. Heath, president and CEO of Samaritan. “This tournament would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, golfers and, of course, our Samaritan golf committee and returning golf committee co-chairs, Cliff Mancine and Roy Fazio. We are so grateful to all those who make this event such a success year after year!”

This year’s tournament will once again feature the Lexus Champions for Charity, sponsored by Lexus of Cherry Hill, offering an exclusive chance to play at the famous Pebble Beach! This unique auction opportunity will take place during the post-event banquet. Proxy bidding will be available for those who are unable to attend. In addition, there will be on-course contest opportunities, sponsored by Challenge Sponsor Mancine Optical, 50/50 raffles and more. Visit Samaritan’s event page for complete details: www.SamaritanNJ.org/Golf.

An online auction offering exclusive rounds of golf, sports tickets and more exciting prizes will also accompany the tournament, allowing golfers, as well as those who are not able to attend, the opportunity to bid on a variety of items – from exclusive rounds of golf, unique experiences, amazing baskets and more! The online auction will open Monday, June 17 at 6:00 p.m., but those interested can pre-register online: www.SamaritanNJ.org/Golf.

Samaritan is thrilled to report that all spots for golfing in this year’s tournament are already filled. However, there is a dinner-only ticket option available for $100 per person for those who wish to support Samaritan by attending our award reception and dinner – held in the late afternoon (around 4:30 p.m.), once all golfers have completed their round.

About Samaritan:

Samaritan is a not-for-profit, independent organization locally founded in Moorestown, New Jersey in 1980 as one of the first hospices in the country. Samaritan is now one of the State’s leading providers of hospice care, palliative (comfort) medicine, at-home primary care, grief support and counseling, advanced illness care, education and advocacy. Samaritan serves people in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer counties who are coping with the stresses of aging, serious illness or grief wherever they call home. Samaritan also has two dedicated inpatient hospice centers in Voorhees and Mount Holly. Beyond the services covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans, Samaritan annually provides nearly $1M in donor-funded non-reimbursed care for patients and families in the South Jersey region. A thrift shop in Westmont also supports Samaritan services and programs. Samaritan is accredited by The Joint Commission; a member of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation; and is a four-star hospice in the national We Honor Veterans program.
